What this service does

Amharic Voice AI ("we", "the service") converts Amharic text you submit into spoken audio using Google Cloud's Text-to-Speech API. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it's used.

Information we collect

• Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. If you create an account with email and password instead, we store your email, a securely hashed version of your password (we never store the password itself), and your name if provided.
• Text you submit for audio generation. The text you enter is sent to Google Cloud's Text-to-Speech API to generate audio. We do not use this text for any purpose other than generating your audio, and we do not sell or share it with anyone else.
• Usage and balance data. We track your character balance and how many characters you've used, so we can show you your remaining balance and enforce fair use.
• Payment verification data. When you purchase additional characters, you submit a Telebirr payment confirmation (an SMS message or transaction code). We use this only to verify the payment amount and recipient, and to credit your account.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate your account, generate the audio you request, verify payments, provide customer support, and prevent abuse of the service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties or use it for advertising.

Who we share information with

We share the minimum information necessary with the following service providers so the product can function:

• Google Cloud (Text-to-Speech API) — to generate audio from the text you submit.
• Google (Sign-In) — to authenticate you if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Our Telebirr payment verification provider — to confirm a submitted payment before crediting your balance.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at fikrenatnael@gmail.com.

Security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing (bcrypt) and are never stored or transmitted in plain text. Access to administrative functions is restricted to authorized account owners.
